Boot Camp Instructor

|Description:||2 positions available, 2-4 classes per week.|
Classes available M-F from 6-8 pm
Plan and lead Boot Camp class. Track attendance and maintain accurate records of group exercise class schedules.
|Duties:||Must exhibit punctuality each day for each class. |
Must be able to find a substitute if they are unable to teach their class. Must also communicate the name of the substitute to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Provide own music for class and use music that is suitable for a family setting.
Instructors also agree to dress in a manner that is appropriate for working in a family setting, this includes, no midriffs showing.
Remain alert to the condition of equipment and report any concerns to supervisor.
Familiarize yourself with the risk management policies of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.
Teach, promote and practice the five YMCA Character Development Values.
Maintain certifications by meeting continuing education requirements (YMCA certifications require 15 CECís every 3 years) and keep current with trends in the field/industry.
Refrain from diagnosing injuries, offering medical advice and dispensing or endorsing any and all commercial health products especially nutritional supplements, vitamins, performance enhancing substances and pain relievers.
|Qualifications:||Certification in National Group Ex required. At least 1 year experience teaching Boot Camp class. Must be outgoing, energetic and have the physical ability to teach Boot Camp.|
Must have certifications in CPR, First Aid and BBP or acquire within 60 days of hire.
